Abuja - The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC will still investigate money laundering charge against the two sons of Governor Sule Lamido of Admawa State despite his refusal to defect to the All Progressive congress (APC).
According to Vanguard, an EFCC official said that the arrest of Lamido’s son’s on money laundering charge was not political.
The source, said that though the sons had been released on bail, they were still to report back to the EFCC for more questioning.
Aminu and Mustapha Lamido, sons of Jigawa State governor, Sule Lamido were arrested on November 15 by the EFCC.
The brothers are believed to be involved in a money laundering scheme in which over N10 billion has been siphoned from the jigawa state coffers to their companies.
Governor Sule Lamido, insists that the money laundry charge brought against his sons by the EFCC is politically motivated.
