Landlord who set tenant ablaze winds up dead

Abuja - A Lagos landlord who allegedly set his tenant ablaze has died due to injuries sustained during the crime, PUNCH reports.

Sola Solomon, the suspect in the case, is alleged to have set his tenant, Abeeb Daraloye, alight following a disagreement over the use of a compound toilet.

During the altercation, Solomon is said to have poured petrol on Abeeb and set his on fire using a lighter.

While the victim burned, Solomon is alleged to have thrown him from the top floor of a three-storey building, killing him in the process.

Having sustained burns during the incident, Solomon was admitted to hospital and subsequently died as a result of his injuries.

Residents in the area where the tragedy is said to have taken place have confirmed the development and called on government to help Abeeb's widow and child.
