Late Taraba monarch Ibrahim mourned

Abuja -  The Member representing Ardokola Lau and Karim-Lamido Federal Constituency of Taraba State, Danladi Baido, has  expressed condolences to the good people of Zing Local Government over the death of Alhaji Abbas Ibrahim, a First Class traditional ruler.

Baido said the late monarch was an upright leader indeed and his death was a great loss to the people Taraba State.

“On behalf of the people of my constituency, our condolences to the good people of Zing LG, and the Mumuye Nation at large over the loss of the 'Kpanti Zing' in Saudi Arabia," said Baido.

The lawmaker prayed for the late monarch's soul to rest in peace.

"May God grant the family and the people of Zing the fortitude to bear the loss," said Baido.

Taraba State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board confirms confirmed the death of the first class ruler of Zing in the stampede in Mecca, Saudi Arabia last Thursday.

Two of his four wives also died, according to the Zing Traditional Council.

Media reports suggested that more than 700 pilgrims died in the stampede. - CAJ News
