Lawyer sues Buhari for breach of oath in fuel crisis

04 August 2015, 21:36

Lagos - A legal practitioner in Lagos has urged the Federal High Court to declare that President Muhammadu Buhari has breached his oath of office regarding the fuel crisis in the country, Punch reported.

Kabir Akingbolu, urged the court to make a direct order that Buhari urgently fix the nations refineries in order to meet petroleum products demand of the whole population.

According to Akingbolu, Buhari failed to address the lingering fuel scarcity and mislead the nation by violating the constitution.

The problem of refineries not being fixed and working in good condition is a big problem and therefore the scarcity of fuel would come to end if they were to be fixed.

Another problem noted by Akingbolu is that huge amounts of money is being spent in exporting crude oil to be refined outside the country and being imported back in.

Akingbolu warned if the President might follow suit if not cautioned.
