Abuja - The Member representing Barkin Ladi
and Riyom Federal Constituency of Plateau State at the House of
Representatives, Istifanus Dauda Gyang, has bemoaned the incessant killings and
attacks in the area.
He commiserated with victims and internal displaced
persons (IDPs) of Bakin Kogi, Zakupang in Foron District and Ragwak in Fan
District after the attacks.
He called on the federal, state and local government to
as a matter of urgency intervene in alleviating the suffering of the people and
also provide adequate security to prevent further attacks.

Gyang said the visit this past weekend was aimed at
assessing the extent of damages promised to provide immediate relief and also
reach out to relevant government agencies to solicit for assistance in terms of
relief materials and health care.
He enjoined the people to be united.
“This is a moment that each and everyone need to
reexamine his or her relationship with God and draw closer to him,” Gyang said.
The lawmaker was joined by member representing Barkin
Ladi Constituency at the State House of Assembly, Peter Gyendeng, former
chairman of Barkin Ladi, Emmanuel Lomang, and some stakeholders in the region.
