Lodgers without ID will not be allowed in Sokoto from 2016 - Tambuwal

19 August 2015, 17:40

Sokoto - Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal has expressed that hotel lodgers without any valid identification will not be allowed to stay in Sokoto hotels from 2016, Dailypost reported.

This notion has been taken because of the security situation in the country and the need to protect lives of those residing in the state.

Tambuwal disclosed this statement while playing host with his classmates in secondary school at his residence in Sokoto.

This policy will affect both Nigerians and foreigners, although it is standard procedure all around the world, Tambuwal added.

Those who are foreigners will have to present their international passport with a valid Nigerian visa. For locals, they will have to produce a driver’s licence, international passport or a National ID card.

Residences of Sokoto have been called to be cautious and not relent cooperation with security agencies.
