Abuja - Lagos Deputy Governor, Dr Idiat
Oluranti Adebule, has assured a delegation of London-based investors of
adequate support and an enabling environment for their investments in the city.
The vice governor gave the assurance when a delegation of
senior business representatives from the United Kingdom city' financial and
professional services sector paid a courtesy visit in Lagos.
Adebule, said the present administration had created an
appropriate framework and ideal policies with protective laws to attract
businesses and investors to the state.

“We have created the Office of Overseas Affairs and
Investment, directly under the Governor’s Office to assist investors in taking
advantage of the diverse investment opportunities in the state,” Adebule said.
The official emphasized that the areas of focus of the
current government were transportation, power, health, infrastructure
development and housing.
Adebule urged the delegation to take advantage of the
investment opportunities that abound in
these areas in order to enhance the state government’s policy on job creation
and infrastructure development.
Lord Mayor of the City of London and leader of the
delegation, Alderman Alan Yarrow, said the purpose of their visit to Lagos was
to seek for business opportunities as well as deepen commercial interaction
