Lagos – The police have arrested two brothers for allegedly murdering their elder brother and then chopping up his remains with a machete over a disagreement about their father’s property, AllAfrica reports.
According to reports, the three brothers lived together in the late father’s house in Satellite Town, Lagos when the younger two wanted to sell the house. The eldest, Yusuf Osun, did not agree with their plan because if they sold their home, their mother would be homeless.
The younger brothers, Abdulfatai and Shakiru, secured a buyer for the home but all three brothers had to sign the agreement and Yusuf refused and did not back down from his stance. In order to get their way, the younger brothers strangled their elder brother and used a machete to cut up his body in order to conceal their crime.
A neighbour of the brothers had witnessed their act and reported to the police who has since transferred the case to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).
