Enugu - The police in Enugu said on Thursday that they had arrested one Ndujekwu Nzekwe for alleged possession of a locally made single barrel pistol with three live cartridges.

A statement from the command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Ebere Amaraiuzu, said the suspect was arrested on Jan. 29 at about 8 p.m. by operatives on duty on the 9th Mile area of the Enugu-Onitsha expressway.

According to the statement, the suspect was caught during a stop-and-search conducted on a Mitsubishi L300 bus with registration number HTE 105 XA.
