Mentally challenged man kills father, sets house alight

Enugu - A mentally challenged man has allegedly macheted nine people in a community in Enugu State before murdering his own father, Pulse reported.

The man thereafter set his home alight after the horrifc attacks that took place in Uzo Local Governmenr area.

According to reports, police in the area had wanted him for other offences when he took the streets and macheted people.

He hacked victims that were sleeping in the middle of the night while visiting the Ngelefi farm settlement and took the bushes.

He returned to the home of his father and murdered him. He set the house on fire including domestic animals, a motorcycle and households.

Police have begun an intensive investigation into the alleged murders and suspected that the alleged is suffering from a mental illness.
