Abuja - The military has commenced investigations into the circumstances that led to the crash of Nigerian Air Force Mi-35 helicopter on a training mission on Monday afternoon.
The crash occurred south of Bama in the Borno State. According to the Defense Headquarters in Abuja, the crash was due to technical fault.
"Investigations have commenced to unravel the circumstances that led to the accident," read a statement. The military added that the crash was not as a result of any enemy action.
"Further details on the crash will be made known as the investigation progresses."
It could not be ascertained if there were any casualties.
