The Military has dismissed media reports it planned to review the
retirement age of soldiers from 60 years to 70 years.
A response from the Defence Headquarters said the publication was "baseless" as it did not originate from the

“An online media publication about a committee to review
the terms and condition of service officers; with a view to increasing their
service years is totally false," the Defence said.
It added that the views contained in the publication were
the personal views of the writer who is perceived to be mischievous and the
publication should be disregarded in its entirety.
