Yenagoa - The aged mother of Wilberforce Igiri, the running mate to Timipre Sylva, Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming December 5th Governorship election in Bayelsa State has been kidnapped.

The woman who is said to be over 100 years of age was abducted by unknown Gunmen from her native Furupa community home in the early hours of Thursday.

The recent kidnap is not unconnected to the tensed political atmosphere in the state.
