Akwa Ibom - The Akwa Ibom State Police have arrested a mother and four other suspects for allegedly stealing and selling of a three-day-old baby girl at the cost of N260 000, Thisday reports.
The police disclosed that the suspects included Imaobong Udoh, mother of the baby, Regina James, aspirant buyer, Mfon James, James' husband, Comfort Henry, traditional birth attendant, and Emmanuel Okon, a homeopathic doctor.
The suspects were arrested following a tip-off and will be charged after investigations have been concluded according to the state police commissioner, Umar Gwadabe.
