London - Some Nigerians living in the UK on Thursday protested against the selection of Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, for honour, reports Osun Defender.
Oduah, along with the Kaduna State governor Mukhtar Yero and Nnamdi Udoh, the Managing Director of the Nigeria Airspace Management Agency were conferred with awards by Global Peace Movement (GPM).
In the brief protest, critics of the award to the Minister rose from their seats as Oduah’s name was being introduced and called out to receive her award.
After series of heated exchanges, the protesters were later sent out of the venue on the instructions of the GPM president and the awards ceremony continued.
