Lagos - Abdul Adewale Kekere-Ekun, the Nigerian whose extradition the Federal High Court in Abuja sanctioned earlier this month has been taken to the United Kingdom where he is wanted for murder.

According to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), he left for the UK earlier on Tuesday.
Kekere-Ekun is wanted by the UK government for the murder of one Marcus Hall, an 18-year-old who was beaten and stabbed to death 14 years ago following a brawl outside a night club in Luton, England.
The accused had fled the UK in a bid to escape prosecution for the offence. The EFCC arrested him in Nigeria a few weeks ago for identity theft related offence.
Following his arrest, an extradition request was filed by the UK government.
