23 June 2015, 16:02

Kaduna - The Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN) on Tuesday condemned the suicide attack on law-abiding people in Maiduguri, describing the act as inhuman and barbaric.

The President of the society, Northern Region, Malam Yusuf Arrigasiyyu, made the condemnation in Kaduna.

Arrigasiyyu said those behind the attack must sheath their swords and embrace peace.

He expressed confidence that the security forces would route out the insurgents, and called on Nigerians to support them with the relevant information to ensure the success of the war on terror.

He said that the recent suicide attacks by Boko Haram insurgents in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa were indications of desperation on the part of the terrorists, having been completely dislodged from their stonghold.

Arrigassiyu, therefore, urged Nigerians not to relent in prayers for an end to the "senseless killings by the insurgents''.
