N23bn scam: Pension boss jailed 2yrs

Abuja - Yakubu Yususf, a former head of the Police Pension Board has been sentenced to two years imprisonment by an Abuja High Court, Premium Times reports.

Mr Yusuf pleaded guilty to the charges of misappropriating N23.3 billion pension funds and is to forfeit property valued at N325 million.

He was, however, given an option of N250 000 fine to avoid jail term.
