Abuja - The NDLEA on Monday said it arrested four persons suspected to have
imported 2.3kg of substance that tested positive for cocaine.
The agency's spokesman, Ofoyeju Mitchell, made the disclosure in a statement issued in Lagos.
The statement said 144 wraps of the substance concealed in the inner
wear of two of the suspects were detected at the Murtala Mohammed
International Airport (MMIA) Lagos during routine screening.
"The first suspect, 35-year old man, was arrested with 70 wraps of
cocaine weighing 1.1kg in his inner wear. The drugs were given to him by
the second suspect who is also 35 years old.
"The third suspect, 39, was caught with 74 wraps of cocaine weighing 1.2kg."
It added that the second suspect also said that the drugs were given to him by a fourth suspect, a 34-year old man.
"All four suspects have been arrested and are currently under investigation," it said.
