Abuja – The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has donated relief material to victims of recent flood disaster in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State.
According to officials of the agency, the affected areas include Unguwar Sodangi, Hayin Majema, Layin Barankaci, Danrimi, Gandu and Gangarawa.
The agency Director General, Alhaji Sani Sidi, represented by the Agency’s North-West Zonal Coordinator, Alhaji Musa Illallah listed the items donated to include food, blankets and toiletries as well as building material.

Senator representing Katsina South Senatorial Constituency, Senator Abu Ibrahim, said no fewer than 361 buildings were destroyed and hundreds of people displaced.
The lawmaker led the agency officials to assessed the affected areas also made a personal donation of N1 million to the victims.
He said a committee would be set up to distribute the items donated by the agency.
A victim, Haruna Garba who spoke on behalf of the affected victims expressed appreciation to NEMA for the immediate support. - CAJ News
