The Osun State Comptroller of the NIS , Chris Onunwor, has
stated those arrested will not be deported, however they just want to check if
they are in the country legally.
This clampdown is to ascertain that no foreigners
participate in the upcoming elections.
The NIS would then be able to monitor immigrants properly
when they have the correct documentation.
