Abuja - The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has presented a mobile intensive care ambulance to the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC).

The facility will support NSCDC activities on disaster management in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Presenting the ambulance at the NSCDC Headquarters in Abuja,  the Director General of NEMA, Muhammad Sani Sidi, said that the gesture is aimed at enhancing the capacity of NSCDC towards prompt response to emergency medical aid during disasters.

The Director General of NEMA, who was represented at the occasion by the Director of Search and Rescue, Charles Otegbade (Air Commodore) said NEMA was offering the ambulance to the NSCDC in fulfilment of its earlier promise to give support to emergency responses in the FCT.

The Commandant General of NSCDC, Ade Abulorina averred that the gesture depicted the excellent leadership activities of NEMA in the coordination of disaster management in the country.

He guaranteed the use of the ambulance for its desired purpose.

He added that the NSCDC would continue to cherish the existing working relationship between the two organizations.
