Ondo - The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ondo State command, has seized a truck with 33 000 litres of adulterated diesel at Odigbo, on the Ore-Lagos expressway.

The state commandant of the NSCDC, Mr Isa Akanbi, disclosed this in Akure on Thursday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He said the truck, with registration number XA 830MJB, was seized on Wednesday around 11.31 a.m.

He said that the driver of the truck ran away while his two accomplices were arrested.

"The two suspect have been charged to court and they are presently being detained at Olokuta prison," he said.

Akanbi appealed to the people of the state to cooperate with the corps by giving it relevant information on suspected criminals.

He assured that any information given by the people would be treated with confidentiality.
