Nasarawa - Despite the vindication of Governor Umaru Al-Makura by the panel set up by the state Chief Judge, Justice Umaru Dikko, the Nasarawa Assembly has said it will still go ahead with the impeachment process against the governor, Punch reports.

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly on Tuesday rejected the verdict of the panel set up by the state Chief Judge to investigate 16 allegations of gross misconduct leveled against the governor.
The Chairman of the House Committee on Information and Security, Baba Ibaku said the actions and activities of the panel were illegal and a gross violation of the constitution of Nigeria.
