He said the new Chief of Defence Intelligence promised to support Nigeria Police through an improved capacity building on intelligence gathering for Police officers with a view to enhancing national security.

“He also expressed satisfaction in the leadership and management team of the Nigeria Police,” Ojukwu said.

Ojukwu said the IGP congratulated the new Chief of Defence Intelligence on his appointment.

The IGP also pointed out that some police officers had benefited from the Intelligence course offered by the Military Intelligence School.

He thus urged the Defence Intelligence Chief to extend the same opportunity to junior police officers with a view to boosting the ties between the two agencies.
