Abuja - The newly appointed Minister of Defence, Aliyu Gusau, has resigned, according to Saharareporters.
Gusau, who was newly appointed by President Goodluck Jonathan, was said to have resigned over an act of insubordination and indiscipline from top military service chiefs.
The minister reportedly called for a meeting with top military service chiefs, which was attended only by the Chief of Defense Staff, Air Marshal Alex Badeh.
The minister was said to have been infuriated by the act, prompting the permanent secretary in the ministry to transmit his letter of resignation to President Goodluck Jonathan.
