Abuja - Niger State First Lady, Dr Amina Abubakar Bello, has distributed relief material to ease the problems disabled people in the region face.
The items include wheelchairs, tricycles and food.
She has given the items out at the Abdulsalami Youth Centre in Mina, the state capital.
Bello said the gesture was aimed at cushioning the sufferings of people living with disabilities and give them a sense of belonging.
She also added that the gesture is her own way of celebrating the Sallah, which starts Thursday.

The governor's wife urged the private sector to help provide for people with disabilities.
"I hereby call on NGOs and corporate service providers to join us in our aim of alleviating the suffering of our brothers and sisters living with disabilities," Bello said.
She assured the disabled the state government would carry them along and ensure they acquired skills to enable them fend for themselves instead of them begging on the streets.
Meanwhile, Bello thanked the Sir Emeka Offor Foundation for collaborating with the 36 states in the area of providing support and succor for people with disabilities.
