Minna - The Niger State Housing Corporation on Monday told allottees in Talba Housing Estate in Minna to pay up or have their allocations revoked.
The directive was given by Muhammad Baba-Gana, the General Manager of the corporation, in a statement on Monday in Minna
Baba-Gana urged those allotted to pay or complete their mortgage processes at Aso Savings and Loans in Minna on or before March 30.
He said that the houses would be reallocated to others on the waiting list should those allotted failed to pay on the said date.
"The corporation is giving all the allottees up to the end of March, 2014 to take possession of their houses or the allocation will be revoked.
“The houses will be reallocated to other applicants on the waiting list," Baba-Gana said.
He reiterated that the houses built in four and three detachable bungalows cost N4.3 million and N3.3 million, respectively.
The general manager said that allottees of four bedroom bungalow would make initial payment of N430 000, being 10 per cent of the total cost.
“An allottee will pay N20 000 or more per month thereafter to offset the balance.
“The allottees of three bedroom bungalows will pay N10, 000 or more monthly to offset the balance.
“Civil servant allottees are expected to make their payments by mortgage, while non-civil servants will make direct payments,” he said.
