Abuja - Nigeria is ready to work with other Heads of State and governments to ensure that Africa and South America benefits from closer ties.
President Goodluck Jonathan reaffirmed this commitment in Abuja during a meeting with Venezuela's outgoing Ambassador to Nigeria, Enrique Fernando Arundell.
Jonathan recalled his previous interactions with late President Hugo Chavez saying the former Venezuelan leader was also very committed to establishing mutually-beneficial economic relations between Africa and South America.
He was hopeful new President Nicholas Maduro would also enhance such ties.
Jonathan praised Arundel’s efforts to enhance the cordial relations between Nigeria and Venezuela.
