Abuja - The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced the successful containment of the dreaded Ebola Virus Disease (EVD), Leadership reports.
Onyebuchi Chukwu, minister of health, who made this known in a statement said that Nigeria had thirteen cases of EVD including the index case, Patrick Sawyer, the late Liberian-American who imported the dreaded contagious disease while on a trip to attend an official assignment in Nigeria on July 20, 2014.

With Monday been the 38th day since the deadly virus came into the country, Chukwu revealed that there is only one confirmed case of the disease in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, a secondary contact of Patrick Sawyer’s and spouse of one of the physicians who participated in the management of the index case.
