Lagos - The poor arrangements made in handing over the facilities of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, (PHCN) to its new owners, has led to the abandonment of many of these facilities.
Presently in Lagos and other parts of the country, erratic power supply now persists.
A highly placed official in the power sector told VANGUARD in an interview that the workers got paid off before the handover on November 1, the official said that the new owners had locked the PHCN facilities because they were still deciding on the next thing to do.
The electricity workers are presently protesting alleged massive sack of colleagues, who have not been paid their severance benefits.
