Abuja—The Nigerian Army Council has begun giving termination letters to over 40 generals, reports Vanguard
The letter which takes effect from January 1 2014 will affect the ranks of colonel, brigadiers-general and majors-generals.
The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Onyeabor Azubuike Ihejirika said that it was part of the Army’s repositioning process, so as to face the security and operational challenges in 2014.
It will be recalled that 27 majors-general and over 50 brigadiers-general of the Nigerian Army were recently promoted.
