Abuja - One hoodlum was sot dead by officials of the Nigerian Navy on Saturday after he disrupted the House of Assembly election in Ilaje, Ondo State, PUNCH reports.
In addition, two other suspects were also arrested and handed over to police officials.
A naval officer, who spoke on condition of anonymity, alleged that the suspects opened fire on a patrol team, following which the naval officials fired back and caught one of the men.

Seven pump action guns, ammunition and ballot boxes were allegedly recovered from the suspects.
Olusegun Agbaje, Resident Electoral Commissioner on the state, confirmed the incident and said that he was duly informed by the naval command's Commanding Officer on Saturday.
Agbaje confirmed that five ballot boxes and six cellphones belonging to INEC staff were also recovered from the scene.
