Cape Town - President and Chief Executive Officer of the N-Squared Integrated Electric Company, Bassey Nkamado, is in line to scoop an accolade as African Utility Executive of the Year at an event organized to honour the continent’s top-performing stakeholders in the energy industry.
The Niger Delta Power Holding Company is also among the nominees for the Africa Power Utility of the Year Award, which will be handed out at the African Utility Week Industry Awards scheduled for South Africa on Wednesday.
The winners will be unveiled at a gala dinner set for the Cape Town International Conference Centre in the coastal city.

Nkamado is nominated alongside executives from Ghana, Kenya, South Africa and Uganda.
Niger Delta Power Company is vying for an accolade alongside power utilities from Ghana, Kenya and Uganda.
The awards are among the highlights of the 15th annual African Utility Week and Clean power Africa.
Sam Amadi, Chairman and CEO of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, is part of a six-member panel that will decide the winners on the evening.
The industry awards are set to welcome 700 of the continent’s most distinguished power and water industry professionals to Cape Town.
