To avoid public attention, Obasanjo had taken her outside his residence at the Hilltop Mansion in Abeokuta to the Presidential Library, which is also located inside the Mansion.
He had also prevented his aides and security operatives attached to him from attending the meeting.
Only Turai, her daughter, Zainab and the businessman, Kenny Martins, who facilitated the meeting met with Obasanjo.
The former President was furious on seeing the report in the media and has accused Martins of leaking the report.
Turai had visited Obasanjo on Saturday to beg him to prevail on President Muhammadu Buhari not to harass or victimize her family members or those who worked with her late husband.
Turai’s daughter, who is also the wife of former Governor of Kebbi State, Saidu Dakingar, is under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged N2billion fraud perpetrated during her husband’s tenure.
