Abuja - Former President Olusegun Obasanjo met with President Goodluck Jonathan less than 24 hours after an 18-page letter Obasanjo sent to Jonathan went public, Nigerian Telegraph reports.
Shortly before the Kenyan Independence celebration, which was held at the Safaricom Stadium, Nairobi, Obasanjo was said to have visited President Jonathan at the hotel he was lodging.
The former president in a letter accused President Jonathan of failing to tackle a litany of problems, from corruption to piracy, kidnapping and oil theft. He also took the president to task over party infighting and a crackdown on dissenters.
