Oyo - Environmental health officers in South-west zone will from Monday converge in Ibadan, Oyo State for training on health, safety and environment issues.
The training is expected to expose the officers to practice and ethics of the profession.
According to Augustine Ebisike, Registrar of Environmental Health Officers Registration Council of Nigeria (EHORECON), the training is to enable the professionals earn credit points which would afford them the opportunity to obtain licences to practice.
He stated that the training was expected to last for five days .
Ebisike enjoined those who had not participated in the previous training to seize this opportunity and attend saying this was mandatory.
EHORECON is charged with the responsibility of regulating Environmental Health profession in Nigeria.
