She said the accused had carnal knowledge of an eight-year-old girl after enticing her with money.

She said the offence of the accused contravened Section 358 of the Criminal Code, Revised Laws of Ogun, 2006.

The Senior Magistrate, Miss Temitope Adebutu, said the accused should be remanded in prison custody pending advice from the State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) on the case.

"The file and other related documents on this case should be sent to the DPP’s office for advice on the issue.’’

Further hearing in the case has been fixed for July 1.
