Ogun - The Ogun State Police Command on Thursday in Abeokuta interrogated two traditional rulers in the state for engaging each other in open confrontation on Oct. 3.
The rulers are the Olu of Itori, Oba Fatai Aakmo and the Baale of Lapeleke, Adisa Akinremi, the duo engaged in fisticuffs at the Itori Police Station in the Ewekoro Local Government Area of the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) learnt that the rulers had disagreements over traditional matters that resulted to the fight.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Ogun, Muyiwa Adejobi, said that the traditional rulers were invited by the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Ikemefuna Okoye.
Adejobi said that the two traditional rulers were still at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) as at 7 p.m. on Thursday for interrogations.
However, he said that they were not detained but that they were under intensive interrogations by the commissioner of police.
Adejobi assured that the command would do its best to ensure that law and order were maintained in the state.
