Abuja - The regional community health team of Shell Petroleum Development Company (SDC) of Nigeria Limited (SPDC) has reached out to a woman who has given birth to quadruplets at the Obio Community Health Centre in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The support is through the company's Women’s Network programme.
This publication established that the oil giant rose to the occasion and within 24 hours, the Women’s Network programme raised over N232 000 and presented the sum to the couple.

An official confirmed the oil giant had handed over the funds.
He said the story proved SPDC and its workers were committed to empowering members of the community.
The Obio cottage hospital in Port Harcourt is one of the medical facilities in the Niger Delta SPDC supports.
