Oshiomhole appoints 4 new judges

Edo -  Gov. Adams Oshiomhole of Edo on Tuesday appointed four new judges in the state.

Their appointment is contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary, Mr Peter Okhiria.

They are: Justices Rita Irele-Ifijeh, Osaretin Uwuigbe, Victor Oviawe and Nogi Imoukhuede.

The statement said Oshiomhole exercised powers conferred on him by Section 271(2) of the 1999 Constitution and the appointments were based on the recommendation of the National Judicial Council.

It added that the inauguration of the new judges would hold on a date to be announced later.
