Delta - Former Chairman of defunct Federal Electoral Commission (FEDECO), Justice Victor Ovie-Whiskey, is dead.
His eldest son, Mr Anthony Ovie-Whiskey, who confirmed the incident said the man died at 9.35a.m, on Wednesday, at Agbarho Clinic, in his home town, Agbarho, in Delta.
He said his late 88-year-old father suffered stroke and was hospitalised for two weeks before he died.
Ovie-Whiskey said the family had already informed the Delta Government of the demise of the former chief electoral officer of the country.
The late Ovie-Whiskey was a former Chief Judge of the defunct Bendel State before he was appointed Chairman of FEDECO in 1980 by former President Shehu Shagari.
