Oyo donates 18 buses to students' unions

06 November 2013, 12:05

Ibadan - The Oyo State Government on Tuesday in Ibadan donated 18 buses to Students' Union Governments of tertiary institutions in the state and the state’s Market Women Association.

Making the donation, Governor Abiola Ajimobi said the buses were meant to facilitate the activities of the benefiting organisations.

He said that while 12 of the buses would go to the students’ unions governments, the market women association would get the remaining six buses.

Ajimobi said that his administration was determined to provide young people with the enabling environment to realise their dreams.

“It is our duty to provide the enabling environment for our citizens to be the best in whatever they want to be in life,” he said.

Ajimobi, who used the occasion to interact with the leadership of the students, called on them to be dedicated to their studies.

“All over the country we see that our students are very productive and responsible .This is exactly what you have demonstrated here today by being orderly,” he said.
