Ibadan - The Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi, is worried about the irregular remittance of tax by companies in the state, Punch reports.
He said the monthly internally generated revenue of N1.2bn was far lower that what the state should earn if all the companies operating in the state are sincere about tax remittance.

He stated that the irregular and non-remittance of tax would affect payment of salaries to civil servants in the state because what it currently earned from federal allocation and the IGR was not enough to pay its wage bill of over N5bn.
He also said the state’s board of Internal Revenue Service needed to be restructured before its financial potential could be realised.
