Abuja - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has asked Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, to stop apportioning blame to tanker drivers for recent road crashes and fire incidents in the state, Punch reports.
The Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Taofik Gani, the party stated that the warning given to tanker drivers plying Lagos roads by the APC-led government was misplaced.

The party said the state government should be blamed for the accidents for allowing the roads to degenerate without adequate maintenance.
It asked Ambode to avert future tanker accidents by immediately embarking on mapping out “exclusive roads for heavy duty vehicles, including tankers conveying fuel.”
The governor on Monday set up a committee to examine the immediate and remote causes of the recent tanker fire incidents in the state.
