Abuja – The amount of money spent recently by First Lady, Patience Jonathan, on a rally has been condemned by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), The Daily Post reports.
NANS commented that they were disappointed that the office of the First Lady would spend so much money on a rally that they found useless and inconsequential when the education sector was in such dire need of finance.
The rally, that was tagged ‘Nigerian Women Rally for Peace and Empowerment’ blocked routes leading to Eagle Square in Abuja causing many motorists to become frustrated.
NANS has since called for the federal government to declare a state of emergency in the education sector.
