Jos - This year’s Eid-el-Fitri was celebrated peacefully in Plateau devoid of ugly incidence that could lead to loss of lives and properties.
A correspondent, who went round the city and its environs on Saturday, reports that the festival was celebrated under tight security.
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Emmanuel Abuh, revealed that the command put in place tight security strategy that ensured peaceful celebration.
"This year's Eid-el-Fitri was the most peaceful in the history of the state.

"We did not record any death or casualty because there was no ugly incidence that could lead to crisis.
"The security strategy put in place by the command, coupled with the cooperation of the people of Plateau assisted in the hitch free Sallah celebration.
"Our officers and men were strategically stationed to avert any ugly situation and to God be the glory we recorded no ugly incidence," Abuh said.
The PPRO appealed to the people of the state to maintain the tempo at all times, adding "peace is priceless".
Andrew Bala, Public Education Officer at the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Plateau, said that there was no incidence of road crashes during the celebration and commended motorists for obeying traffic rules.
