Adegoke said that the two broke into their co-tenants’ room assaulted and raped them.

He said the accused had earlier solicited romantic relationships with the ladies when they were in their late 20s, and they declined their advances.

``The accused had boasted that if they could not have them (ladies) no one else would," the prosecutor said.

He said that the offence contravened the provisions of Sections 185, 170, 258, and 409 of the Criminal Code Laws of Lagos State, 2011, but the accused pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Magistrate, Mrs Bola Osunsanmi, granted the accused bail in the sum of N500,000 each and two sureties each in like sum, and adjourned the case to Feb. 28 for trial.
