The Commissioner of Police in the state, Jubril Adeniji, disclosed this at a press briefing in Jalingo on Tuesday.

Adeniji said that 413 suspects were prosecuted during the period while cases involving 334 suspects were still being investigated.

He said that the command recovered 53 arms and ammunitions from suspected criminals in the state during the period, adding that the weapons comprised three AK 47 rifles, 17 Dane guns, 17 locally-made pistols and one K2 rifle.

Other recovered arms, according to him, were 12 single-barrel guns, two locally-made SMG rifles and one FNC rifle.

He stated that the command was waiting for directives from Police headquarters, Abuja on what would be done with the recovered weapons.

Adeniji also said that during the period, the command recovered 30 stolen vehicles in the state.

He commended the media and members of the public for assisting the command in its bid to eradicate crime in the state.

He assured that the command will leave no stone unturned in improving on the level of safety and peace currently being enjoyed in the state.
