Abuja - The Police High Command has denied reports that the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar had been asked to proceed on pre-retirement leave.
A statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Frank Mba,issued in Abuja on Thursday said Abubakar was "fully"on his desk''.
The Police High Command had not received any official communication from appropriate government quarters informing the Inspector-General of Police, Mr Mohammed Abubakar of retirement from the force,'' the statement has said.
Mba said Mohammed has continued to performed his duty as the 16th indigenous IGP.
